About ACPE Accreditation

The Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education® (ACPE) was established in 1932 and is the national accrediting agency in pharmacy recognized by the Secretary of Education, U.S. Department of Education.  The ACPE is an autonomous Agency with a board of Directors which is derived through appointments by the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP),  The American Pharmaceutical Association (APhA), The National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) - (three appointments each) and the American Council on Education (one appointment).  In addition, the panel of public representatives serves in a general advisory capacity to the Council providing for public contribution to its proceedings.
