Research: Diabetes Care

Dr. Nash’s clinical practice site is located in Mathes Pharmacy, New Albany IN and primarily involves diabetes care. Dr. Nash developed the diabetes program in 2002 to serve the ambulatory population as an education and disease state management service. Mathes Diabetes Center now services over 200 patients and continues to grow by referral from local area physicians.

In 2005 Dr. Nash, in conjunction with Mathes Pharmacy, developed an ambulatory care residency. After successful completion of this one-year residency, development advanced into two pharmacy practice residency positions for the 2006-2007 year. Dr. Nash is currently the residency director for these two residency positions. One position focuses on cardiovascular health, while the other position focuses primarily on diabetes care.

Service and Engagement

Dr. Nash is involved with all aspects of the experiential training program including; orientation of new students and preceptors to the program, identification, development, and monitoring of focused advanced practice clerkship sites in concentrated areas across the state, preceptor evaluation, student clerkship assignments, etc.
