Notice (May, 2009)

The Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) released the 2007 Standards for all U.S. Doctor of Pharmacy programs. Purdue's traditional on-campus PharmD program has been redesigned to be in compliance with all of these standards. Since the Nontraditional Doctor of Pharmacy Program (NTDPP) must mirror the traditional on-campus program, Purdue School of Pharmacy has appointed a task force to determine if the newly approved Pharm.D. curriculum can be adapted to fit the NTDPP model. Until that evaluation can be completed, new admissions to the NTDPP have been suspended. At the present time, no timetable has been set for when or if the NTDPP will return. The new on-campus curriculum is just being implemented and the NTDPP Task Force is just beginning its work. It will be at least a year, maybe two before a decision will be made as to the availability of the NTDPP. If you are interested in participating in Purdue's NTDPP at some point in the future, please check back to this site periodically for more information or to learn if a timetable has been set. On-going students who have started NTDPP course work prior to Summer 2009 have been notified that they must apply to the NTDPP by August 1, 2009 in order to continue in the degree program that they started. If you have questions about the NTDPP, you can contact the secretary for the program, Kathy Reynolds at reynoldk@ purdue.edu or 765-494-1471. Thank you for your interest in Purdue's educational activities.
