Purdue University/Johnson and Johnson/Eli Lilly and Company/FDA Regulatory Fellowship

Description: The Regulatory Pharmaceutical Fellowship is a two-year, learning based program designed to expose selected candidates to one of two tracks focused on the medical and regulatory aspects of drug information dissemination or marketing. The program will serve to maintain and enhance a scientific link between the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and university personnel; the program will also aid in the drug information and marketing processes of the FDA and the pharmaceutical industry. The fellowship is a two-year program consisting of a 9-month rotation at the FDA Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER - Rockville/Silver Spring, MD), a 9-month rotation at either Eli Lilly (Indianapolis, IN) or Johnson & Johnson (Raritan, NJ), and a 6-month rotation at Purdue University School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (Indianapolis, IN). The fellowship will allow participants to have an opportunity to experience careers in the area of academia, government, and industry. Graduates of the program will be qualified to pursue career opportunities in regulatory, pharmacy academia, or medical information. Chosen candidates will have various educational experiences in cross-functional departments and have opportunities to publish articles and/or give presentations. The program has two positions available: one medical information track and one drug advertising and promotion track. Requirements:

  • Qualified candidates must have a Pharm.D.
  • Interviews will be conducted at the 2008 ASHP Midyear Meeting
