Columbus Regional Hospital Administration Rotation During the administration rotation at Columbus Regional Hospital, any or all of the following activities may be encountered by the perspective student. Drug utilization evaluation projects may be assigned, in which case the student will work with the clinical coordinator/ or other supervising pharmacist to put together proper data collecting tools, in addition to performing chart reviews to obtain the necessary data. Meeting attendance may be required for various meetings such as pharmacy staff meetings, Pharmacy & Therapeutics, Operations Council, Health Care Advisory Board, Infection Control. If staffing interviews occur during the student's rotation, they may be involved with those also. Additional responsibilities may include involvement with assembling staff schedules. The student may also assist the pharmacy director in compiling quarterly reports of pharmacy performance outcomes. Review of departmental budgeting may also be encountered during the rotation. The student may become involved with preparations for JCAHO. Presentations may be required. If the student has specific interests and relays those to the director/ preceptor, the rotation can be geared towards those interests. |
