Diabetes Care - Eli Lilly

Description The Diabetes Care Scientific Communications team currently employs 1 Team Leader, 4 Scientific
Communications Associates, and 3 Scientific Communications Assistants dedicated to specific Lilly diabetes care
products (Humalog, Humalog Mixtures, HumaPen, Humalog/Humulin Pen, Actos and pipeline products). Services
provided include abstracts, manuscripts, posters, slide kits, symposia highlights, reprints, drug monographs, global
updates, and various consulting services. 

Hours 40 hrs per week (may use flextime) 

Objectives 
1. Provide the student with experience in the process of publishing scientific data. 

2. Provide the student with experience in the pharmaceutical industry 

3. Strengthen the student's written and verbal communication skills 

4. Augment the student's literature evaluation skills 

Activities 
1. Actively participate in abstract, manuscript, and /or poster preparation 
2. Complete special projects: (therapeutic talks, self directed projects, 3 major projects) 
3. Develop a familiarity with various medical information sources 
4. Develop an awareness of corporate organization and responsibilities
