The Partnership for Medical Education 3500 DePauw Blvd, Indianapolis, IN 46268 Preceptors: Michelle Tyner, MS and Anita Collier Description: This rotation will provide the student with insight into the development of continuing medical education activities. Research into specific disease states will aid the student in the developing a needs assessment including diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management. During the execution phase of the activity, the student will review faculty slides for accuracy, fair balance, and ensure the presentation addresses the learning objectives. Throughout the rotation, the student will learn about the guidelines for Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME®) and Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE). Objectives: · Develop needs assessments and learning objectives that are based upon multiple sources · Apply practice guidelines, performance measures, quality improvement, and other relevant data sources to attain desired outcomes of educational interventions
