Administrative/Managed Care RotationMethodist Medical Group-Indianapolis During this 4-week rotation, students will learn the administrative and managed care activities that are performed by pharmacists at Methodist Medical Group. Administrative aspects include pharmacy management, cost containment, controlled substance reviews, and monitoring patient compliance with Biotech drugs. The managed care aspect of the rotation involves formulary management, physician education, drug utilization reviews, and polypharmacy reviews. Student Activities: -Preparation of educational handouts for patients and physicians -Attending pharmacy management meetings -Attending P&T meetings -Attending physician luncheons -Drug utilization reviews -Participation in controlled substance and polypharmacy chart reviews
