Preceptor Training

Description: A 4 week focused advanced practice rotation. For maximum benefit the student should possess a distinct interest in pursuing an advanced retail career. This rotation takes the individual several levels above the retail pharmacy entry level and requires the student to be very flexible, mobile, and creative.

Activities: The student will observe, learn and participate in the daily operations required to supervise 27 dynamic Walgreen pharmacy departments in NW Indiana including : hiring, training, recruiting, market share building, community outreach, and strategic planning initiatives. At the end of the four weeks the participant will have an understanding for the necessary leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills essential to operating a successful and profitable retail district for a Fortune 500 Company.
