About the Program
The program is designed in accord with the accreditation standards and guidelines
of the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education. It integrates advanced
didactic course work with case application exercises, advanced clinical clerkship
experiences, and individual project activities. Graduates of the program
are prepared with knowledge, skills, and practice capabilities to enter a
general practice role as a clinical pharmacist in acute care, long-term care,
or ambulatory care practice settings or to enter postgraduate specialized
residency and fellowship training programs. It has been designed to allow
practicing pharmacists to complete the program while maintaining employment
and minimizing travel to classes.
