Students may be admitted into the Nontraditional Doctor of Pharmacy Program
(NTDPP) through application to the School's Admission Committee.
|
 |
Applications will be evaluated and students either admitted, conditionally
admitted, deferred, or denied. A deferred applicant may continue taking
core courses, using performances in these as further evidence of qualification
for admission. A deferred applicant who is subsequently admitted must
work with program administrators to develop the most appropriate
plan for starting clerkships. In this case, if the student has successfully
completed all courses and is available to participate, it may be possible
for that student to enter the clerkships rotations with less than one
year planning time from the date of admission from deferred applicant
status if space in the clerkships is available.
|
 |
Students will be required to enter their clerkships no more than four
years from the time they start their therapeutics sequence.
|
 |
Students admitted in the nontraditional pathway may register and take
didactic and laboratory courses on the Purdue campus if they meet the
prerequisites, there is capacity in the course and they can attend the
classes regularly to complete the requirements.
|
 |
Transfer of nontraditional program students to the traditional program
for clerkship is restricted by the conditions of space available in the
traditional program class, sufficient lead time for clerkship scheduling,
and student intention to complete the clerkships as a continuing full-time
student. In the event there is more than one NTDPP student desiring
to be given a space in the traditional pathway program, the NTDPP Advisory
Committee will take responsibility for action not the NTDPP student request
for pathway transfer.
