Please join me to congratulate the Purdue Kenya Team (Drs. Karwa, Pastakia, Schellhase, Miller).  Their paper entitled “Evaluating the impact of a 15-year academic partnership to promote sustainable engagement, education, and scholarship in global health” was selected for Department Best Paper Award.  As part of the award, they will receive an individually engraved plaque and the PKP team name will also be inscribed on an enduring plaque that hangs within the Department.

Jasmine Gonzalvo and Molly Nichols.  Jasmine and Molly were recently awarded two grants from Direct Relief and the McKinley Fund, totaling $90,000, to fund a project with Eskenazi Pedigo clinic entitled, “Pharmacist and Community Health Worker Collaboration to Improve Cardiovascular Outcomes in a Federally Qualified Health Center Serving Adults Experiencing Homelessness.”  Congratulations!

Established in 1989, this intensive experience develops the leadership and managerial skills of faculty who have demonstrated exceptional ability and academic promise. Many of the programs’ over 1,400 Fellows have gone on to serve with distinction as college presidents, provosts, and deans.  Congratulations Patti!
