Please join me to congratulate Dr. Sonak Pastakia.  Sonak’s paper entitled “Impact of Bridging Income Generation with Group Integrated Care (BIGPIC) on Hypertension and Diabetes in Rural Western Kenya” was selected as the best paper of the year within the Department. As part of the award, he will receive an individually engraved plaque.  His name will also be inscribed on an enduring plaque that hangs within the Department.  We will plan to formally award the plaque during our first faculty meeting of the new academic year.
