  • Hometown: Buffalo Grove, IL
  • College: Purdue University College of Pharmacy
  • Why HealthLinc/Purdue: HealthLinc caught my attention due to the kindness and close relationships within the care team, both with each other and their patients. From day one, I felt welcomed and valued as a team member, with my insights being appreciated. What impressed me the most was the team's shared commitment for serving the underserved and their belief in the impact of community outreach on healthcare optimization.
  • Research Interests: Women’s Health, Diabetes, Community Outreach
  • Career Interests: Ambulatory Care Clinical Pharmacist
  • What I enjoy about Mishawaka:  I love the outdoor venues and the coffee shops scattered throughout the Mishawaka and South Bend area. There's always something exciting to do and explore, including the farmer’s markets and nearby parks. I also love that it has a sports town feel since I enjoy attending athletic events and is conveniently located near Chicago and Michigan.
  • Hobbies: Photography, traveling, cheering on the Purdue Boilermakers, the Green Bay Packers, and the Milwaukee Bucks

Jacob Zanolla, PharmD

  • Hometown: Hobart, IN
  • College: Purdue University
  • Why HealthLinc/Purdue: I had the opportunity to complete a 3-month track program with HealthLinc during my APPE rotations and fell in love with everything about the program and the company itself. All the providers here are overwhelmingly passionate about their patients and providing the highest quality of care. The culture of collaboration at HealthLinc is second to none, and that is something that was important to me while searching for a residency program. Also, I have always been passionate about vulnerable and underserved communities, so the fact that HealthLinc is an FQHC was just a bonus. I could probably go on forever, but I’ll stop there!
  • Research Interests: Smoking cessation, diabetes care/education, public health
  • Career Interests: Ambulatory Care, Academia
  • What I enjoy about Valparaiso:  It’s close to home (getting to work in a community I am already invested in), there’s great food in town, there’s an amphitheater in town that has small concerts in the summer, and the Popcorn Fest is held here each year!
  • Hobbies: Playing bass guitar, anything outdoors, and playing competitive video games with my friends
